Demetrius, aka De, is a Jamaican-born photographer currently based between San Francisco/Los Angeles, CA, and Kansas City, MO. Known for portraiture, editorial, commercial, and fine art work, he has spent over a decade specializing in photographing everyday people with honesty and depth.
As an observant portrait artist, Demetrius sees beauty and individuality in the faces of his community—faces that reflect resilience, history, and pride. He constantly pushes his vision and his camera to move beyond the surface, capturing portraits that reveal the essence of individuality. For him, the iconic portrait is more than an image; it is a celebration of identity.
